This One Thing Reveals How Strong You Are

How do you measure inner strength?

Let's meet this reality head-on, identify where we're at and be purposeful in our efforts.

  • You can gauge a person's inner-strength by their JOY level!!!

  • You can gauge a person's inner-strength by their JOY level!!!

  • You can gauge a person's inner-strength by their JOY level!!!

Yes, I repeated that 3 times because this NEEDS to sink in.

All positive character traits stem from joy.

Nehemiah 8:10 says the JOY of the Lord is our strength

In other words JOY = Strength

If the enemy can steal your joy, he has your strength, if he has your strength then you are weak, if you are weak then you are vulnerable and can't fight if you can't fight you can't win.

Sow to Reap

If you Want to Reap, You Need to Sow

If you want to experience more joy in your life, you need to give more joy away.

Make the effort to BRING joy everywhere you go. Wheather it's in your own home, getting gas or shopping.

Start by smiling.

It's a small gesture, but it usually makes others smile in return, which brightens their day just a tad.

Training Children

When I get fuel I let my oldest go inside and pay.

I've taught him to smile at the cashier and make small talk.  Ask how their day has been, mention the weather, or whatever.

These small conversations make someone's day more enjoyable and break up the boring, mundane people they deal with continually. I teach my kids not to be one of them.

They have the ability to make someone's day better just by bringing them a smile.

These little acts will not only bring a little joy to others, but will also cause them to reap joy in their own life.

A Challenge for You

Why don't you (for one week) make a point to add joy everywhere you go.

Start with your spouse. Give them a smile, hug them, make sure they know that you love them.  Find a way to add a bit of joy into their day.

When you go about your day, at work or when running errands, bring your smile and show it off.

Say hello to strangers and see if you can brighten up someone else's day with your face.

Try it for a week and see how it makes you feel. Watch how bringing joy to others, adds joy to you.
