Statement of Faith
We believe in one true God, Creator of all things, Redeemer of mankind, who is infinitely perfect, and manifests as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Isaiah 43:11).
We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. In it we find the revelation of God’s eternal and unchanging will for everyone. These words are divine and have final authority for the Christian life. (II Timothy 3:15–17).
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life as He walked among men, demonstrated the authority and power of God in works and speech, died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of God having accomplished all that is necessary for man's salvation. (Matthew 1:23).
We believe man was created in the image of God, fell from grace. This resulted in sin entering the world which brought death, not only in physical death but also spiritual death (Genesis 1–3).
We believe if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature in the inward man. We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus. We are partakers of His divine nature (II Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:10; II Peter 1:4).
We believe that Christ's Church is made up of born-again believers, and is God's habitation through the Holy Spirit. When believers are born of the Spirit, they are united together as the Body of Christ and appointed to fulfill the Great Commission. Jesus Christ is both Lord and Head of His Church (2 Timothy 1:14; Ephesians 2:22; John 14:23; Ephesians 1:22–23).
We believe that healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every believer. We believe that the redemption provided by Jesus Christ includes more than forgiveness of sins. His work on the cross was complete and provided salvation for man's spirit, soul and body. (2 Peter 1:3; Acts 10:38; I Peter 2:24; Galatians 3:13)
We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus Christ and to indwell, guide and empower believers for life and service. This baptism experience, which is distinct, and separate from Salvation, brings the gift of the Spirit to the forefront of ones life and is evidenced by the physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 1–4).
